Uluru park pass prices in 2026

An adult pass for 3 days costs AUD 38. An annual pass costs AUD 50. Visitors under 18 enter free. Older guides sometimes quote a children's ticket or a price of AUD 25. Those figures no longer apply.

The pass is not a family ticket, so you pay per adult. Two adults travelling with children under 18 pay AUD 76 for 3 days in total. The pass covers Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park only. It does not cover Kakadu or Kings Canyon, which is in a separate park.

You can buy the pass online or at the entry station. If you buy online, you scan the QR code at the entry station, either on your phone or printed, in the lane for pre-paid passes. Prices change, so check the amount at checkout.

Tours with and without the park pass

Sunrise and sunset tours, guided walks and Kata Tjuta trips with live prices and availability. Most day tours do not include the park pass, so check the included items before you book.

Does your tour include the pass?

This is the question that causes most surprises. Many bus and guided walking tours list the park pass as not included. In 2026 that applies, for example, to the Uluru sunrise and Kata Tjuta bus trip, the sunset tour with wine and cheese, the guided base walk, the small-group Kata Tjuta tours and the day trip from Alice Springs. Buy your pass online before the tour starts and carry it with you.

Some multi-day camping tours do include the park fees. If the description says so, you do not need a separate pass. The hop-on hop-off bus is only transport and does not include a pass or a guided tour.

The free ranger-guided Mala walk costs nothing extra, but you still need a valid pass to be in the park. It meets at the Mala carpark and takes about 1 hour 30 minutes for 2 km. It starts at 08:00 from October to April and at 10:00 from May to September.

Opening hours by month

The park is open every day and closes at night. You must be out of the park by closing time.

Times are local time. These are the opening hours of the park, not sunrise and sunset times. A sunset ticket does not give you access to the park after closing. The Cultural Centre is open daily from 07:00 to 17:45. The park can close for short periods for cultural reasons, so check current notices before you go. See sunrise and sunset for the viewing areas.

Kings Canyon needs a different pass

Kings Canyon lies in Watarrka National Park, which is managed separately. Your Uluru pass is not valid there. Visitors need an NT Parks Visitor Pass, which you should arrange online before the trip.

  • Day pass: AUD 10 for adults, AUD 5 for children aged 5 to 17, AUD 25 for a family of 2 adults and 4 children, AUD 8 with a recognised Australian concession card.
  • Annual pass: AUD 60 for adults, AUD 30 for children, AUD 150 for a family and AUD 48 with a concession.
  • Residents: NT residents do not need a visitor pass.

Read more on the Kings Canyon page. For the rock itself, see Uluru and the Base Walk.
